Pre-Qualifications

The following procedures must be in place:

24/7 staffing or security must be provided.

All residents must be capable of living independently, without hands-on medical care or hands-on help with activities of daily living.

All entrances must be attended.

All visitors must sign-in and sign-out.

Background checks must be conducted on all employees and volunteers.

Smoke detectors must be installed in every room, and a no-smoking rule must be enforced.

An emergency evacuation plan must be in place.
